Junior Trailer Mechanic | Geldermalsen
Are you technical, practical and eager to learn a skilled trade? Join our garage in Geldermalsen as a Junior Trailer Mechanic. You will work on trailers for one of the largest transport company in The Netherlands and learn the job in practice with support from experienced mechanics.
Location: Geldermalsen
Responsibilities
You work only on trailers, not on trucks. Your work includes:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on trailers
- Preparing trailers for the APK inspection
- Repairing trailer damage
- Working on tail lifts and on refrigeration units
- Replacing and maintaining parts
- Carrying out rust and construction work
- Cleaning, checking and maintaining parts
- Working on axles and other trailer components
- Working with experienced mechanics and learning new skills
We offer
- Weekly payment: €800–€900 net, excluding accommodation and health insurance
- Hourly wage: € 26,37 according to TLN salary scale F-G (experience)
- Hourly wage: €19.01 gross according to TLN salary scale C (starters)
- Employees under 21 receive the applicable youth salary scales
- Overtime after 40 hours: 130%
- Saturday: 150%
- Sunday: 200%
- Travel allowance: €0.23 per km from 10 km
- Good pension plan in line with the TLN Collective Labor Agreement
- 24 vacation days + age-related days + 8% vacation allowance
- Dutch contract

Job requirements
- Communicative knowledge of the English language.
- At least 6 months of experience working with trailers
- You are technical, practical and enjoy working with your hands
- Technical, practical and hands-on
- Interest in mechanics and technology
- Eager to learn and develop practical skills from an experienced mechanic
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Own car to driving to/from work
